File transfer
Buying a file, without the guesswork.
Most disputes start with an unverified file. We run the checks first and sit with you at the DHA office on transfer day — so there are no surprises for either side.
Ask about a fileHow it works
Record check
We confirm the file number, ownership history and any outstanding dues against DHA records before matching a buyer.
Owner meeting
You speak to the owner directly. Price and commission are agreed in writing before anything moves forward.
Transfer day
Both parties attend the DHA office with original CNICs. We handle the paperwork queue and hand you the transfer letter the same day.
Common questions
What documents do I need for a transfer?+
Original CNICs of both buyer and seller, the original allotment or transfer letter (or file), and a dues-clear certificate from DHA. We'll confirm the exact list for your specific file during the record check.
How long does a transfer usually take?+
Once dues are cleared and a DHA appointment slot is booked, the paperwork itself is typically completed the same day at the office. The main variable is how quickly any outstanding dues get settled beforehand.
What if the file has unpaid dues?+
We check for outstanding dues before matching a buyer. Any dues are settled from the sale proceeds, exactly as agreed in writing before the transfer date — no surprises on the day.
Do both parties need to be physically present?+
Generally yes — both parties (or an attorney holding a valid power of attorney) need to be present at the DHA office with original CNICs. We'll flag early if your file needs anything unusual.
Is there a transfer fee?+
Yes, DHA charges a transfer fee based on the plot category and size, paid at the time of transfer. We confirm the exact amount during the record-check stage so there's no guesswork.
General guidance only — requirements can vary by file, so we'll confirm specifics for yours during the record check.
